Prisons Dept’s role to also rehabilitate its occupants

Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Prisons Department (JPM) plays an important role in safeguarding prison inmates that are in need of special attention, while also providing beneficial programmes for them. 

Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim said prisons play a vital role in spurring change among its occupants, which goes beyond its basic function as a prison.
