Sporting CP are ready to sign permanently on-loan Manchester City defender Pedro Porro.
Óscar de Paula, a former coach of Extremadura, discovered the Spain international and has been a long time friend.
De Paula believes Sporting is the ideal place for Porro.
He told AS: "I believe that he has found the ideal place, both by the system and the game model used.
"He enjoys his football and is able to unleash the talent he has.
"For good reasons, he was on several occasions already elected the best defender in the Portuguese league and ended up being called by Luís Enrique to the national team."
De Paula added: "They (Sporting) are planning to execute the option to purchase the contract."
