Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has ruled out signing permanently Ross Barkley.
The midfielder is currently on-loan to the end of the season from Chelsea.
Smith said, “Ross came to us on loan at the beginning of the season.
"We agreed that it would be just a loan.
"Barkley has two more years of contract with Chelsea, we did not discuss the possibility of buying the player outright."
