The kid brother of Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is a step away from a first team debut with Lens.
Jonathan Varane, 19, is a midfielder and was called into the Lens first team squad for the weekend clash with Brest.
Varane didn't make the final squad, but he's now a step closer to making his debut.
The midfielder is currently playing regularly for Lens B.
Older brother Raphael left Lens almost ten years ago in 2011 to join Real Madrid.
