Jude Bellingham insists he never even considered joining anyone else other than Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United went hard after the 17-year-old when he decided to leave Birmingham City.
Sir Alex Ferguson even gave the youngster a tour of the Carrington training facility.
But in Bellingham's mind, there was no club who could match what Dortmund had to offer.
"United have a fantastic squad, but I was so focused and so happy with the interest from Dortmund that this became my first choice," Bellingham told FourFourTwo.
"It was never a case of this club over this club. For me, it was always Borussia Dortmund, and that's it.
"The only thing I was bothered about while making my decision was playing football, and this was the best place to do that.
"It's as clear as day that if you come here and do the right things, you're going to get your opportunity."
Bellingham has been proven right by his choice, having played 35 matches for Dortmund and winning a call-up to the England squad.
