Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins admits they were fortunate with victory over Fulham.

Watkins struck in the 3-1 win.

He later said, "Without the substitutes we probably would have lost that game. They changed the game and got us back into it. They had fresh legs and energy, and Keinan Davis is such a strong guy with a presence up front. He won the ball back at a crucial time and it turned into a goal.

"When we got into the final third our movement was a bit slow. It just wasn't falling for us. But we dug in, got the chances in the end and saw the game out.

"Trezeguet works so hard so he deserves it. He's always getting in there and credit to him.

"We haven't come from a goal down and won very often so we've shown character. In the last few weeks we've been trying but it's not come off for us. Hopefully we can go on a run now and get back to how we were playing at the start of the season."
