Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan feels sorry for Chelsea striker Timo Werner.
Werner is being mocked after a howling miss in Germany's World Cup qualifying defeat to North Macedonia this week.
Germany captain Gundogan said, "I sorry for Timo.
"He is the one who wants to score the most. We have no choice but to continue. We all know that such a defeat must not happen to us against that opponent.
"That is not our excuse, but it can not be explained. But that's how it is, we have to accept that."
