Brighton star Danny Welbeck believes the club can push for a higher position in the Premier League.

The Albion have moved ten points away from the relegation zone after an impressive 2-0 win over Leeds United.

There are four games to go in the Premier League season, which means Brighton are all but safe from relegation.

Welbeck, who scored against Leeds, hopes the club can aim for more than avoiding relegation next season.

He said, perThe Argus: "It's one of those situations [his goal] where the ball is in the air and you're looking around in your peripheral.

"You see what sort of solutions you can go to next.

"Once the ball was in there and I have seen where the defenders are, I knew that turn would come off.

"You do it in training and then it's nice for it come out in a game. I am really pleased with that goal."

He added: "I've touched on it before. With the group of players we have I know we can do much better than we are at the moment.

"It's those small differences. It's the harsh reality of the Premier League.

"We've got a good group of players and the right staff here to push on and achieve more and be fighting not just to be in this league."
