Thiago Silva is in line to sign a new deal with Chelsea.
ilva joined Chelsea for free last summer following his release from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 36-year-old made 34 appearances in his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, including starting Saturday's triumphant Champions League final win over Manchester City.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Silva's extension was agreed weeks ago and an announcement is imminent.
However, Romano also says Tuchel is keen to strengthen at the back in the summer transfer window.
He tweeted: "Thiago Silva's new contract until June 2022 will be announced soon - already agreed and completed since weeks, never been in doubt.
"Chelsea are also considering to sign a new centre back this summer, looking for some opportunities on the market. #CFC"
