Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he can't think about unrest amongst the support.

As well unpopular owner Stan Kroenke, Arteta has also come under fire, most recently after Arsenal's 2-1 semi-final first-leg defeat against Villarreal in the Europa League.

Asked if he is aware of the negativity following Thursday's loss and on social media towards him along with Kroenke, Arteta said: "I get some stuff all the time from the club about what is said and everybody is free to express their feelings and what they think.

"The only thing I can control is what I do and that is to do my best in every decision that I make and do the best for the team and for the club."

Arsenal have dropped five points in their last two league games ahead of Sunday's trip to Newcastle.

Arteta said: "The Premier League is the competition where it is not in our hands to achieve what we wanted to do.

"The semi-final on Thursday is the crucial moment of the season."
