Real Betis are closing on a permanent deal for Barcelona fullback Juan Miranda.
Miranda just completed an impressive loan with Betis and comes off contract at the end of next month with Barca.
Barca had expected to trigger a two-year option in Miranda's deal, but Mundo Deportivo says they've now decided against doing so. It will mean Miranda being due a €600,000 penalty fee from the club.
It was confirmed on Friday that Miranda will now be allowed to leave this summer.
Betis will close a deal for the fullback, though to maintain good relations with Barca will include a clause which will see a percentage of any sell-on fee going to the Catalans.
