Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has detailed the messages players received from security at the Lowry Hotel on Sunday.

United's stars were at the hotel as they prepared for their game against Liverpool in the Premier League.

But the game was postponed due to protests at Old Trafford and outside the Lowry, with the game now rescheduled.

Asked about the events during a press conference, Fernandes told reporters: "The most important is that everyone has something to say. The most important thing is the team and we have a good group.

"It was completely different, that was the fans and players, it was really different to Sunday. I don't want to compare. I don't want to remember that, what happened on Sunday is past.

"I was in my room watching Udinese v Juventus. I didn't try to go outside. I did what security said and stayed in my room."
