Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has turned down Celtic.
BBC Sport says Howe has turned down the opportunity to be the next manager of Celtic.
The club had hoped the former Bournemouth boss would sign a contract in the next few days, after he became their preferred candidate.
It's not clear why he decided against the move but it's understood the make up of his backroom team could have played a part.
A Celtic source says the club still hopes to appoint a successor to Neil Lennon in the coming days.
