Leicester City have submitted their first offer for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has indicated Soumare to Leicester is near completion.
The journalist believes a fee in the region of €25 million should seal the deal between the two clubs.
Leicester are looking out for midfield reinforcements, as they want to ensure their squad is deep enough to compete in all competitions next term.
They looked at Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Bologna's Mattias Svanberg and other players in that position, but settled on Soumare.
