The father of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits he doesn't want him to consider taking the Spain job.
However, Valenti would be happy if his son returned to Barcelona in a coaching or advisory capacity.
"I don't want Pep to coach the Spanish national team.
"Now, if he comes back to Barcelona as a coach or as a person who gives advice, I do not exclude him, but not to the Spanish national team," insisted Valenti Guardiola to Super Deportivo Radio.
Guardiola signed a new deal with City earlier this season to 2023.
