Barcelona president Joan Laporta has received positive feedback in his interest in Hansi Flick.
The departing Bayern Munich coach is under consideration at Barca as they prepare to remove Ronald Koeman as coach at the end of this season.
Xavi, in charge of Al Sadd, has been regarded as favourite to succeed Koeman.
However, Flick is favoured by Laporta given his coaching experience and success with Bayern. And the German would be open to such a move as he reconsiders succeeding Joachim Low as Germany coach.
AS says any chance of the German landing the job, though, will depend on Barca captain Lionel Messi, who is said to be currently favouring Xavi's appointment.
