Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini was visibly frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Sassuolo.
Despite Pierluigi Gollini's red card after just 22 minutes, La Dea had still taken the lead through Robin Gosens.
Gasperini said, “We wanted to win for our own progress. After all, Inter had already taken the Scudetto regardless of our result, they only needed one more point.
“Just like against Roma, we did enough to deserve taking all three points today, but we leave with only one."
Sassuolo's equaliser was a penalty awarded for a foul by Rafael Toloi on Junior Hamed Traore.
Gasperini added, “It's difficult to avoid controversy if we talk about the refereeing decisions. There are four teams up there, even five, so we'll see what happens.
“We played for 70 minutes down to 10 men, they gave a weak penalty against us for a shoulder-to-shoulder incident. We made a mistake on their goal and saw the penalty saved, we hold our hands up for that, but we played our game.
“Now we need to look forward."
