Donny van de Beek is seeking clear the air talks with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about next season.
The 24-year-old Holland international endured a difficult first season at Old Trafford following his £40m move from Ajax last summer.
Van de Beek made just four starts in the Premier League and was an unused substitute during United's Europa League final defeat against Villarreal last week.
The Telegraph report that Van de Beek is expected to hold talks with the United boss about his role next season after a season of stagnation following his breakthrough at Ajax.
He is now on international duty with Holland ahead of this summer's European Championships.
