Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola feels 'optimistic' about Ilkay Gundogan's injury.
The Germany international limped off with a knee injury during the 3-2 loss to Brighton.
"Tomorrow we are going to check it, the doctor is quite optimistic," Guardiola said, with one eye on the Champions League final on May 29.
"The problem is he had a kick and he was running in the second half with a disturbance.
"I didn't want to take a risk, that's why we did the substitution."
