Chelsea have opened talks with VfL Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.
Sky Deutschland says Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is a fan of the young Frenchman and recommended his signing to club chiefs.
And the Blues have taken on board Tuchel's opinion and made contact with Lacroix's minders to register their interest.
Encouraging Chelsea is news that Lacroix has resisted attempts from VfL to open new contract talks.
The Bundesliga outfit would be willing to listen to offers for Lacroix starting from €30m.
