Sabah to remain under CMCO despite MCO for rest of nation, says Masidi

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah will continue to implement the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) although the country will implement the MCO from the 12th of this month, said Datuk Masidi Manjun.

The State Government's spokesperson for the crisis announced tonight that at the National Security Council meeting this afternoon, he asked the Prime Minister to allow Sabah to continue to manage the pandemic the existing way because it has proven effective.

It was approved by the Prime Minister and the National Security Council, said Masidi, adding Sabah will continue to implement the CMCO until further notice.

He said he agreed to tighten restrictions and the pace of social activities.
