RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate is on the brink of signing with Liverpool.
ESPN says Konate has passed a medical at Liverpool and signed a five-year contract at the club.
The France Under-21 international - who celebrated his 22nd birthday this week - will become the Reds first summer signing and will bolster their central defence.
After a season of long-term injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, his arrival will be welcome - although Konate has had multiple injury problems in the early stages of his career.
Konate is thought to be arriving for a fee in the region of £40million.
