AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu could be a surprise target for Liverpool.
Turkey international Calhanoglu is out of contract in the summer and is not likely to renew his deal.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are showing an interest in the playmaker.
The Reds, who managed to finish in the Champions League places on the final day of the Premier League season, may feel that Calhanoglu can add some guile to their midfield.
Calhanoglu does have offers from Qatar, while Italian giants Juventus are also interested in his services.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with the 27-year-old.
