Arsenal are weighing up a move for Sporting CP midfielder Tiago Tomas.
Tomas made his big breakthrough last season with the 19-year-old scoring six goals and producing three assists in 37 games.
Goal.com says Arsenal have been in contact with Tomas' representatives regarding a potential move.
Roma have also expressed interest in Tomas, who is being compared with Brazil great Kaka.
However for the moment, Tomas is understood to favour staying with Sporting, where they're looking forward to Champions League football next season.
