Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal to appoint Lucien Favre as their new manager.
The London club have secured somewhat of a coup by appointing the former Borussia Dortmund man, per The Guardian.
Favre will take over from Roy Hodgson, who kept Palace in the Premier League against the odds for several years.
The 63-year-old is excited about the role after talks with the Palace hierarchy, per the source.
The club were close to appointing Nuno Espirito Santo, the ex-Wolves manager, but have gone with Favre instead.
