Brighton have agreed a deal to sign Stuttgart striker Nicolas Gonzalez.
The Guardian says Albion will pay an initial £25m - a club record - for the Argentina international.
The 23-year-old has snubbed interest from Fiorentina in favour of moving to the Premier League.
Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur had previously been linked with the former Argentinos Juniors forward.
Gonzalez, who scored six goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances last season, is currently at Copa America with Argentina.
