Liverpool and Manchester United are set to tussle for the signature of Juventus defender Cristian Romero.
The Argentina international has impressed while on loan at Atalanta from Juve last term.
The 23-year-old is likely to sign permanently for Atalanta this summer, but they may then sell him on to a Premier League club.
AS in Spain reports Atalanta are happy to flip him for a profit, with United and Liverpool the clubs with the keenest interest.
Liverpool could be willing to go as high as £43 million to secure the player.
