Barcelona want Pedri to skip the Tokyo Olympics.
The midfielder was one of three Barcelona players on the list, along with defenders Eric Garcia and Oscar Mingueza.
However, Cadena SER reports Barça will speak with the Spanish Federation to ask that Pedri not be involved in the tournament later this summer.
The report says Barça are worried that he will burn out at 18 after a long season with his club followed by his involvement in Euro 2020 at the moment.
Pedri had a week off back in Tenerife at the end of the season but then joined up with the Spain squad for the Euros.
