Real Madrid playmaker Martin Odegaard looks unlikely to stay at Arsenal following a loan spell at the club during the second half of the season.
The Norway international impressed for the Gunners, despite their inability to secure any European football for next season.
He was linked with a move to Arsenal on a permanent basis, but recent comments from Odegaard about someday playing with Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Haaland may show another desire.
While on international duty, Odegaard was asked if he wanted to play for Real with countryman Haaland someday.
Odegaard replied: "Of course."
The midfielder's future will be determined by new Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who took over at the club on Tuesday following the departure of Zinedine Zidane.
