England coach Gareth Southgate was delighted with the manner of their Euro 2020 victory over Germany.

England won their round of 16 tie at Wembley 2-0 thanks to goals from Manchester City midfielder Raheem Sterling and Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
Southgate was pleased with the way his players performed, particularly the intelligence they displayed over the course of the game. The England manager says he can always count on the players to show passion and heart, but they showed "brains" too.
