LaLiga president Javier Tebas has taken aim at Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for the Super League breakaway project.

Perez was one of the faces of the proposed league and has clung onto the idea for longer and with a tighter grip than most of the others involved, alongside Juventus' Andrea Agnelli. But Tebas has dismissed the idea and Florentino's assertions that a reform is needed.

"The drafted Super League isn't a project for now, it's one that Florentino has had for 20 years," Tebas told El Transistor. "It's a joke that he says that a sporting competition should be governed by the number of social media followers a club has.

"Some things are not up for discussion. Listening to him, I got the impression that he thought he was Robin Hood.

"For Real Madrid and Barcelona to be in charge of governance in Europe? No, no! They're inventing a story about the Super League that isn't founded in reality. The new Super League wouldn't bring more money."
