Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares has agreed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
The Gunners have agreed a deal worth £12.8m for the Portuguese left-back.
And according to Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, the transfer is close to completion after Tavares agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.
The signing will be a coup for Arsenal given the widespread interest in Tavares.
The 21-year-old has been a target for Napoli and Southampton, amongst others.
