Arsenal remain confident of keeping Emile Smith Rowe despite Aston Villa's aggressive pursuit this summer.

Villa have been rejected with a second offer for the 20-year-old and are expected to return with a third bid.

Smith Rowe will be out of contract in 2023, with the Gunners keen to tie him down to a new contract.

Technical director Edu has recently been able to convince fellow youngsters Gabriel Marinelli, Folarin Balogun and Bukayo Saka to commit their long-term futures to the club.

And the Brazilian is confident he can persuade Smith Rowe to do the same, per football.london.

Villa have attempted to sign Smith Rowe with bids of £25m and £30m respectively, both of which were quickly rejected by Arsenal.
