The agent of PSG signing Gini Wijnaldum says the Dutchman was flattered by talk of Lionel Messi wanting him to sign for Barcelona.
As he considered his options when leaving Liverpool, it emerged Messi had approved Barca's move for the Holland international.
And Humpry Nijman says his client was pleased knowing he has the admiration of the Argentine.
He told the Here We Go podcast: "It was obviously a huge compliment that Lionel Messi is frank and that he validates the arrival of Gini at Barça.
"Gini saw this as a very, very big compliment."
