Aston Villa do not expect Manchester City to make an offer for Douglas Luiz.
The midfielder signed from City for Villa two summers ago, with the deal including a buyback option for the Premier League champions.
According to local outlet the Express and Star, the Citizens are very unlikely to pursue the Brazilian international this summer.
If City do wish to sign Luiz in the coming weeks, they would only have to pay a fee of £27.5 million to Villa.
The buyback option from his transfer deal expires at the end of June.
