Barcelona fear they're about to be trumped for Liverpool's Bosman prospect Gini Wijnaldum.

ESPN says Paris Saint-Germain made a move to sign Wijnaldum on a free transfer in recent days and ESPN are reporting that they have offered the Dutchman a bigger wage deal.

As the player is keen to seal the most lucrative offer possible as he reaches the final chapters of his career, PSG could now be the club where he lands in the coming days.

Now reports suggest PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to Wijnaldum, which appears to confirm he is planning for next season with the French club after he reportedly told the club he wanted to leave to seal a return to Tottenham last week, says the Sunday World.

Now the final decision will lie with Wijnaldum and his advisers, with the length of contract and the terms on offer at PSG ensuring he will need to give their offer serious consideration before his next move is rubber-stamped.

If he does opt to sign for PSG, it will be major blow to Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman as he has been chasing his compatriot for the last 12 months and believed he had a deal in place to bring him to Spain.
