Manchester City are prepared to walk away from transfer talks with Tottenham for Harry Kane if chairman Daniel Levy fails to keep the price realistic.

The Manchester Evening News says no official offer have been made, but City have clearly shown interest, and there are rumours of a £100million bid being prepared.

There have been claims that an initial offer has been made, but City and Spurs have both denied that, while Kane says the only talks he has had with his agent, and brother, have been about England.

City have stuck to their original plan, of waiting until the Euros are over before making their pitch.

But Spurs' reported £150m price tag is a no-go, though City know they will have to break their club record of £65.2m, set last summer to bring in Ruben Dias from Benfica, if they are to land Kane.

Gabriel Jesus has been talked about as a potential makeweight in a Kane deal, and he is one of several players City would be prepared to sell to raise the cash.
