Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel is proud seeing Denmark in the Euro 2020 semifinals.
Schmeichel, who was part of the Denmark team who defied the odds to win the Euros in 1992, was full of pride as he watched the current crop, including his son Kasper, move a step closer to replicating that success 29 years on.
"I have to say Kasper Hjulmand and his players keep impressing me and keep producing something out of the ordinary," Schmeichel told beIN SPORTS.
'My God, what a performance by this team. When you think that two weeks ago precisely today, the game against Finland - these players watched a teammate have a cardiac arrest on the pitch. They were all hurt by that.
"To reach the semi-final now and playing so well, I'm just very, very proud. This is very emotional."
