Amanda Staveley insists her consortium remain on track to buy Newcastle United from Mike Ashley.

Newcastle fans are set to travel to London to protest against the lack of transparency regarding why the takeover has been refused by the Premier League.

taveley has now offered an update on her position, and confirmed all members of the consortium are still eager to get the deal done.

Speaking to talkSPORT, she insisted she believes the takeover will still get over the line, clashing with guest Simon Jordan.

Staveley said: "We're looking forward to trying to get this transaction over the wall, and it will do.

"We are all there, we are all passionate about Newcastle, all the consortium members are. I've made that very clear last week and the week before."

Staveley continued: "We've asked the Premier League to resolve it. They can have a vote on it, they can have a vote on transparency.

"The Premier League offered this arbitration process. They didn't say to all the other clubs 'we want to have this process, is this okay?'

"They had to have the ability to go out and do this. All we're saying is that we want this arbitration."
