Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis is a loan target for Stoke City.
The Potters are one of several clubs chasing the signature of Davis and the head coach of the Potters, Michael O'Neill, has made no secret of the fact that he is an admirer of the attacker.
Despite revealing his interest, O'Neill said the club will have to play a waiting game to see if a loan switch materialises.
“He is an Aston Villa player and he came into the action today from the bench," the Northern Irishman said on Saturday.
“I am sure that he is a player who is on the list of a lot of Championship clubs, and we would put ourselves within that category.
“We will just have to wait and see what materialises over the next few weeks."
