Blackburn Rovers have been encouraged in their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson.
The 19-year-old has joined Liverpool for their preseason training camp in Austria.
But it is believed Clarkson is one of many Liverpool youngsters who will be loaned out this summer, per the Lancashire Telegraph.
Rovers have a strong relationship with Liverpool after their loan of Harvey Elliott last season.
Elliott thrived at Ewood Park last season, scoring seven goals in 42 appearances.
The Championship outfit hope their experience with Elliott will persuade Liverpool to loan them another promising midfielder in Clarkson.
