Manchester United are preparing to launch an official offer for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The centre-back is a key target for the Red Devils as they seek the perfect partner for Harry Maguire.
Known for his speed and aerial ability, Varane is thought to be very excited at the prospect of playing in the Premier League, according to The Guardian.
United have held positive talks with Varane and Real about the transfer.
Now they are ready to put in an official offer with the hopes they can soon work out a figure with Real for Varane's signature.
Jadon Sancho is also expected to sign this week after United reached a deal with Borussia Dortmund.
