Fabio Capello has hailed the impact of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho on Italy's Euro 2020 campaign.
Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport, Capello said the 29-year-old is an important part of the Italian national team after a series of impressive performances.
"Jorginho, he's (Roberto) Mancini's main man," Capello said about the Chelsea midfielder. "He was a player who didn't convince me completely. But in matches I saw him live, I watched carefully."
Jorginho has put on a passing masterclass at Euro 2020, gaining plaudits from all over Europe. His Italian side are getting ready to face Belgium on Friday in the quarter-finals.
"He is a midfielder who knows how to stay on the field and direct the team," Capello added.
"The fact that Italy don't concede many goals is due to his ability to intervene at the right time in the actions of the opponents."
