Andreas Pereira is preparing for the first day of Manchester United preseason training.
The Manchester Evening News says the 25-year-old spent last season out on loan with Italian club Lazio but is now back in England ahead of a crucial summer transfer window.
It is understood Lazio are reluctant to keep Pereira on a permanent basis next season because of the cost of a deal. It means the Brazilian midfielder could be loaned out again next season, but it's understood the player would prefer a permanent transfer amid fear of very limited playing time if he were to remain at Old Trafford.
The former PSV Eindhoven academy player took to social media on Saturday to confirm he was back in Manchester prior to the start of pre-season, uploading a picture of a rain-soaked Salford to his Instagram stories.
