West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice says that his brother's baby was born around the same time as Harry Kane's winner against Denmark on Wednesday.
Rice was heavily involved as England overcame the Danes 2-1 after extra time to secure a spot in Sunday's Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Rice explained why he was on the phone relatively soon after the final whistle blew.
"My brother has literally had a baby, as the second goal went in!" he said to BBC Sport post-game.
"He's crying his eyes out, he's had a little girl. It's a special night all round."
