Arsenal are eager to have Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga part of their squad for the preseason trip to Florida.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal hope to complete the £18m signing of Lokonga in time to fly out with the team to Florida on Wednesday.

Arsenal ended a two-match camp in Scotland with a 2-2 draw at Rangers on Saturday as £8m left-back Nuno Tavares, signed from Benfica, marked his debut with a goal.

Manager Mikel Arteta did not comment on the impending arrival of £50m Brighton defender Ben White, who will complete his switch after his post-Euros holiday, when Arsenal return from America.

But Arteta said: "We're going to have some new faces arriving probably, so it is very positive."
