Ilaix Moriba has been barred from senior preseason training at Barcelona.
Sport says for now they've put him on the B team list as a means of pressuring him into lowering his people's demands in terms of a contract renewal. Barca believe they have bet strongly on Ilaix and hope his agents can take into account the club's economic situation to loosen negotiations. Ilaix has to lower his demands or leave the club.
He has always wanted to renew his deal and more so after it was confirmed Ronald Koeman would stay at the club. However his new agents are managing important Premier League and Bundesliga offers.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have all been mentioned as suitors. Ilaix is now inside the final year of his current deal.
For now, nothing is ruled out, but the only thing Barca are sure of is that they can't let him walk away for free next summer. He'll start the pre-season with the B team but the club know in a sporting sense he's a first-teamer now.
