Arsenal and Juventus target Houssem Aouar has strenuously denied claims that he missed preseason training with Lyon in an attempt to force a transfer out of the club.
The 23-year-old is a long term target for some of the top teams in Europe.
Aouar was linked with a move to Arsenal last summer and a transfer could materialize this time around.
French media reports claimed he purposefully missed training to force Lyon's hand, but Aouar released a statement denying those claims.
Aouar said: "Once again, unfortunately another fake news was published across social media. I don't usually answer what's been said about me… I was sick and hospitalised over the weekend. I am doing much better now and I am ready for what comes next.
"Thank you to those who have always supported me, in the good as well as in the mad moments. Go OL!"
