Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will integrate midfielder Joe Willock into the first team squad.
The talented central midfielder excelled during a loan spell at Newcastle United during the second half of last season.
Willock scored several important goals as the Magpies avoided relegation.
His Gunners boss Arteta says he will be involved with the first team this time around.
Arteta said after a 2-1 preseason friendly loss to Hibernian: "Well, he wasn't involved today because he had a little groin issue.
"He trained yesterday really well but we didn't want to risk him.
"Joe is part of our plans, he's our player and in the time that he is here we will try to make the most out of him.
"He had a great experience on loan. He was, I think one of the most important players for their survival."
