Liverpool fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold admits frustration having to watch England's Euro 2020 campaign from afar.
The defender was forced to pull out of the team when he limped off with an injury during their first warm-up victory over Austria and was replaced by Brighton defender Ben White.
The 22-year-old said: "It's disappointing for me not to be there but at the end of the day, it still puts a smile on my face seeing the lads go far, the nation getting behind them - the supporters everywhere have been amazing.
"To know all the lads and a do few weeks with them, they're going to do us proud."
Alexander-Arnold was kept out of the squad with a thigh injury and he has been undergoing intense rehab as he looks to make sure he is back in time for Liverpool's pre-season.
He said: "Everyday is a new step, getting better and fitter and going into pre-season good. I have a few weeks of rest and then hitting the pre-season and trying to push on from there."
